When families ask me where they should schedule their extended family photos in Utah, Bountiful Pond is always at the top of my list.



This location has everything I love as a family photographer—lush green trees, beautiful walking paths, seasonal flowers, a peaceful pond, and some of the dreamiest light you'll find anywhere in northern Utah. It's one of those locations that photographs beautifully year after year, making it the perfect place for families to gather and preserve memories together.

Perfect for Extended Family Sessions



Extended family sessions often include grandparents, adult children, spouses, and lots of energetic grandkids. Bountiful Pond offers plenty of space to comfortably photograph larger groups while still creating intimate portraits of each family.


One of my favorite parts of these sessions is documenting the relationships between generations. Those photos of grandparents laughing with their grandchildren or cousins playing together often become the images families treasure the most.

Earlier Evening Sessions Make Family Photos Easier



One of the biggest advantages of Bountiful Pond is its beautiful filtered light.

Because the mature trees provide so much natural shade, we can begin your session a little earlier than we can at many open-field locations while still achieving soft, flattering light.


This is especially helpful for families with young children who may struggle with later bedtimes. Earlier sessions often mean happier kids, more genuine smiles, and a more relaxed experience for everyone involved.


As a photographer—and a mom—I know how much smoother family photos go when little ones are comfortable and well-rested.
