There’s something so special about documenting the little milestones—especially a second birthday. Two feels like pure magic: big personality, growing independence, and still just enough baby to make your heart ache.
For my daughter’s second birthday photoshoot, I wanted something simple, soft, and timeless—something that would let her shine. We chose Cottonwood Studio, a darling little studio that is absolutely perfect for milestone sessions. The natural light, clean space, and cozy feel made it so easy to capture those sweet, in-between moments I never want to forget.
She wore the cutest little blue dress I found on Amazon (I’ll link it below because it’s too good not to share!), paired with a tiny crown with the number “2” on it. The crown felt like the perfect touch—simple, playful, and just enough to make the moment feel extra special without taking away from her personality.
And truly… her personality is everything right now.
The giggles, the tiny twirls, the way she clutched her dress and looked so proud—it was the kind of session that didn’t need much direction. Just space to play, explore, and be her sweet, curious self.
That’s one of my favorite things about milestone sessions at this age. They aren’t about perfection. They’re about connection, movement, and capturing your child exactly as they are in this fleeting season.
